Daddy - daughter time found us going through the McDonald's drive-thru for milkshakes. While pulling out of the lot, "Feeling Fine", an upbeat, old Southern Gospel song, by the Statler Brothers began blasting through the speakers. For the next couple of minutes, the girls and I sang the song loud and proud. I was honored that they: 1) Let me sing with them and 2) they sang a Statler song.
Think on this: It is good to have fun. It is good to praise the Lord. It is good to spend time with your kids. It is great (priceless?), when you can do all three together!
Proverbs 17:22 (NIV) "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
"There is a joy which is not given to the ungodly, but to those who love Thee for Thine own sake, whose joy Thou Thyself art. And this is the happy life, to rejoice to Thee, of Thee, for Thee; this it is, and there is no other." - St. Augustine
